Pulling for Polcari

Jim Polcari has been part of the rowing community in Boston, Lowell and Lawrence for over 30 years. A student/athlete at University of Lowell, he continued coaching at the university, as well as with the MRRA where he was a long-time member. Jim additionally was the boat captain at Riverside and continues to coach at Greater Lawrence. He was a stalwart TRR director that was instrumental to its continuing success.

In April, Jim was diagnosed with lung cancer. After going through surgery, chemo and radiation he has had another bump in the road to recovery, finding himself temporarily disabled on a fixed income with the expenses of treatments and an active young family. Pulling for Polcari is an MRRA organized fundraiser for the rowing community.
