FESTIVAL REGATTA - POSTPONED UNTIL 2010

The Merrimac River Rowing Association (MRRA) regrets to announce that there will NOT be a Festival Regatta for 2009. For the past 4 years, the uncertainties of the boathouse have taken a toll on the organization of the club, and we are just now getting back into full swing as the boathouse construction subsides and the new management settles into place.

With the dedicated help of our new manager and boathouse tenants we are able to offer, in 2009, an enhanced community-rowing program featuring both sweep and sculling sessions. These "learn to row/scull" programs are rapidly filling up.

We will also be hosting, as usual, the 2009 Textile River Regatta (TRR) on October 4th, 2009 and will be prepared for anticipated larger subscription.

The MRRA has initiated a membership drive to increase the number of active rowers to levels sufficient to support all of our community programs and fully expects to host the Festival Regatta in 2010.

Sincerely,

The MRRA Board of Directors
