Despite
its small size, the MRRA runs or assists in a number rowing
events and programs throughout the year. These range from
competitive rowing in regattas and head races, through to
summer sculling programs for the absolute beginner.
Events
and programs are open to all - the MRRA is totally committed
to bringing rowing to the widest audience and promoting the
sport of rowing within the local community.
If
you've never rowed before, yet stand in awe at the grace and
power of a sculler carving through the water then our summer
Learn to Scull program is for you.
If
you're a competitive rower and are looking for a new sprint
event to enter this summer, then consider the MRRA's Festival
Regatta - now having been run for over 20 years. The Festival
Regatta features all events rowed over a straight 2,000m course.
However if you prefer an endurance event, the popular Textile
River Regatta provides a full 3 mile race with ideal timing
for the run up to the Head of the Charles.
