MON 22-MAY |
IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXCELLENCE
Folks, we dodged a big bullet with last week's Survivor episode.
But we didn't get away without a scratch. Here are some quick-fix
help opportunities.
- Four barrels of crushed sheetrock and about a dozen bags of
insulation are sitting in the fireplace room at the boathouse.
Get a friend and carry them to the curb for pickup by the City of
Lowell (graciously arranged by LHS). NOTE: Only do this in
the morning, we'd rather not leave the barrels out overnight.
Also, don't touch the stuff in the barrels or the bags or you might
end up glowing in the dark. If someone from the DCR gives you
grief, let them know that Lowell has agreed to do the pickup, or if
they prefer we can put the sheetrock back where it came from in their
boathouse.
- Fireplace floor needs a good whuppin, preferably with a bleach
solution. Talk to Ginny
who has agreed to take this on. Good old Ginny -- on Sunday she
graduates with a shiny new Masters degree, and by Tuesday she's ready
to put on the babushka and clean floors. An inspiration to all
of us.
- Captain Bob has put out an APB for people willing to spend an hour
or so cleaning debris from the up-side of the dock. We'd better
get this done before the water goes much lower or it will just get
tougher to remove junk. The good news is that any bodies and
Porta-Potties have already been removed, so all that's left is
branches, other people's dock parts, kids toys, tires and other
assorted swap-shop items. Check with Bob
for a motivational speech and a specific work assignment.
